NIKOLA UZUNOVSKI was born in Zemun, Belgrade, Serbia in 1979.
He has exhibited in more than a hundred shows around the world. In 2005, he participated at the 53° Biennale di Venezia, in the project Floating Cites. In 2007, he won the prize Young European Artist Trieste Contemporanea for his project My Sunshine, a project he continued during the artists residence at Pollinaria, Abruzzi, 2008, and developed further for the Macedonian Pavilion at the 53° International Art Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia, (2009).
Selected solo shows include: Snow (2009), and My Sunshine-Venice (2010), both at Federico Luger Gallery, Milan. Major group exhibitions include: White and Other, In Any Case Art, at Palazzo Cavour, Turin, Italy, (2005); Greenwashing, at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin, Italy (2008); Green Platform, at Fondazione Strozzi, Florence, Italy (2009) and Spaceship Earth, at Centre of Contemporary Art Znaki Czasu, Torun, Poland (2011).
